 We currently only provide the regular kanekalon braiding hair. Any hair needed for boho braids or twists will need to be provided by the client.

It can take anywhere from 2 to 7 hours depending on the style and length that you’ve chosen. 

You can do a gentle wash using the pads of your fingers to massage the scalp with a mild shampoo. If you have micro braids where the braids aren’t braided to the end, we recommend using a scalp refresher instead like a rose water and rosemary mist on the scalp instead to prevent the braids from unraveling. 

The longevity of your style depends on a few different factors such as if you’re maintaining scalp care in between appointments meaning keeping the scalp clean or refreshed by doing a light wash, as well being sure to tie the hair up at night with a silk or satin scarf or bonnet to preserve it. You also want to be sure that you’re not over-saturating your hair with products like oil and mousse. A little goes a long way. It is not necessary to use these products every single day. 

 Finger-detangling and using a light moisturizer has proven very effective when caring for your curls in a boho style. We recommend using a mousse like Lotta Body sparingly or a mixture of water with one squirt of conditioner in the bottle and misting the curls whilst finger-detangling. If you have a wide paddle brush and you have larger curls you can use this as an alternate method of finger detangling but always be sure to start from tip to root rather than root to tip in your detangling process. Be sure that you’re holding at the root to prevent too much tension or snagging. 

 Yes, you can schedule a touch-up appointment. We typically take out 2-3 rows around the perimeter of the hair to re-braid. 

 We recommended using a few drops of the Crown of Glory Herbal-Infused Hair Growth Oil at least 1-2x per week. 

 Yes, you can still use the Esther Elixir Daily Hair Growth Mist sparingly on your scalp whilst wearing your braids. 

 Yes, children are allowed from ages 6 to 12. If your child has never had braids before, please specify that in your consultation appointment. 

 We recommend at least 3 inches of hair before booking an appointment to prevent extra tension on the scalp.

 You are expected to arrive at your appointment on time but we do realize that unexpected things can happen. With this in mind, we do offer a grace period of no more than 15 min. If you know you’re going to be late, please call ahead of time to communicate that information. If you are more than 30 mins late, your appointment will be canceled and you will forfeit your deposit.
